A Week Full of Christmas...

Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope you all had a great one.  This past week has been amazing!  It started off a little slow, because my companion got sick, but she got better and we celebrated up our Christmas! We had an extra sister with us for a couple days while her companion was in Praia, and it was great!

We had a christmas family home evening and brought pop rocks (sent from my comps mom) and we compared trying the poprocks and feeling the magical crazy sensation to trying the gospel.  If you never act you will never feel it work in your life!  It was funny to watch everyone try pop rocks for their first time.  They all thought it was pretty magical.  Haha but it turned out really spiritual. We read 2 Nephi 26:4.

Our branch also threw a huge Christmas party that started 2 and a half hours late... (welcome to cabo verde, where they are still getting the hang of how starting on time works).  But it turned out great!  It was fun to have everyone united on Christmas eve.

On Christmas we made sugar cookies and little ornaments out of candy canes and took them around to our investigators, less actives, and some other new families we found at home.  It was so exciting and fun to see everyones faces light up when we gave them our little goodies and as we talked about the birth of our Savior.

Our recent convert David received the priesthood on Christmas and helped with the sacrament and he will baptize our investigator Pão this weekend!  It´s so neat to see him progress and really take his place in the church.

On our water situation, the water came back for just enough time to refill our tank of water and almost all of our empty water bottles!  It was a very nice Christmas present.

I´m so grateful for my Savior and for everything He has done for me.  He has made it possible for each and everyone of us to find a lasting peace and joy in our lives, become better, and one day return to the presence of our loving Heavenly Father.  Trust in Him!  Lean on Him, he is there to lift you up.  He loves each and everyone of us.  He is my light and my life.

Merry Christmas to all! And a happy new year!!!

With love,

Sister Frongner
