Baptism! With what water?...

This was Sister Frongner's investigators over 6 mo ago, from Sao Vicente, who has just moved to Sal.
Sister Peterson and Sister Frongner...(what a huge blessing upon leaving Fogo after 6 mo and find
there was a reason she came to Sal)
Hey family!

WOW.. This week has been amazing!  David, our investigator that moved from São Vicente was baptized on Saturday!  But about a half hour before the baptism we get a call saying that there was not enough water... So we called a water truck and they brought in some water and it all ended up ok. Such a special day!

We have been out of water for the past two weeks and we found out this morning that the whole island is officially out of water.  Hahaha, luckily we´ve been surviving with our water storage.  Let´s hope we get the water back this week.

Yesterday all of the churches in our city got together for a christmas choir concert and our branch performed.  It was awesome.  Although they weren´t right on key, they sang their hearts out.  I love these people!

We have two investigators, Pão and Foca, that are preparing for baptism and they are both overcoming a smoking addiction. Both of them have changed so much!  It just hit me this week how truly special and amazing our message is.

Each and everyone of us is a very important child of our Father in Heaven.  He knows each and everyone of us, and wants the very best for our lives.  God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, so that we can truly take part in the happiness and joy and peace that our Father has prepared for us.  He is our Savior.  He lives.  Through Him we can change, we can receive the strength to overcome and make it through any trial that comes into our lives.

I´m so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be a representative of Jesus Christ.  Especially at this time of year.  I love this place.  I love the people here.  I love my Savior.  He is the reason for the season. He´s the reason I´m here!

I wish you all the merriest of Christmases!
