Current Miracles and Future Marriages...

Hey family!

This week has FLOWN.  I feel like just  two days ago I was writing last weeks email.  This week was really good.  It was filled with it´s ups and downs but we ended on a great note!

Mizi and Nicola are still preparing for marriage and now their neighbors are too!  Mika and Belani are preparing to be married and baptized this next month.  So we have lots of good things in the works here.

Mika has already studied with the missionaries when he was living on a different island.  And it´s Belani´s first time, but she is already in love with the Book of Mormon!  She says that she has a hard time putting it down after she picks it up.  Haha anywho, we invited them to be baptized and the first thing Mika did was he looked at Belani and ask her to marry him. And she said yes!  They then looked at us and said that they would start preparing for baptism.  That was definitely one of the happier moments in my life.

I love the people here and their great faith.   Their hearts are open and ready to receive the gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ.

I´m so grateful for the amazing knowledge that we have of the Plan of Salvation and that through Christ we truly become the people ready to enter again into the presence of our loving Heavenly Father.  Through our Savior, everything wrong can be made right and we can find a lasting peace in this life and in the life to come.

I love the mission so much and I really wish it would slow down a little.  But it´s not.. So I´ll just keep loving every second I get.

Christ lives!  This is His work, and I´m so grateful to be a part of it!

LOVE YOU ALL!

P.S. Also we made sugar cookies for valentines day!  And there is a mini missionary in my district who was staying with us on Valentines day and I taught her how to make them   so when she gets back to São Nicolão she´s going to sell them to raise money for her mission. So THANK YOU for the recipe!  She´s so pumped!

if you look out past the main buildings and the road but before the trees in the distance is Alto Santa Crus.  We spend most of our time in that part of our area.  It´s SO poor, but it´s full of humble people ready to receive the gospel!  Mika and Belani and Mizi and Nicola live out there. Also Pão and Fóca and Emerson (Pão´s cousin who came to church this week!  He´s in the blue shirt between me and Pão).
